The rules for using Business Fit. Please read them with our privacy policy.
In short
- Business Fit gives you information to help you think through a business idea. It isn't financial, legal or tax advice.
- The scores are calculated by fixed rules; the analysis and explanations are written with AI and can be wrong, so check anything important yourself.
- Figures are scenarios, not promises, and a poor fit isn't necessarily a bad business.
- Submit only public videos, and only text you have the right to share.
- Don't misuse the service or get around its limits. It's a beta, so it may change, pause or stop.
1. Agreement and eligibility
These terms are an agreement between you and Parkdale Digital (“we”, “us”), which runs Business Fit. By using Business Fit, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
You must be 18 or older to use Business Fit. You can use it without an account. If you create one, it's for you alone; keep your email account secure, because that's where sign-in links go.
2. What Business Fit is
Business Fit is an informational tool. It looks at the business described in a video and estimates how well it fits your situation. Our AI provider reads the transcript, picks out the facts about the business and writes the questions and explanations. The scores and verdict are calculated by fixed rules from those facts and your answers.
3. No advice and no guarantees
- Business Fit isn't financial, investment, legal, tax, accounting or other professional advice, and it doesn't replace advice from someone who knows your situation.
- Figures are scenarios based on the information available, not promises or predictions of what you'll earn. Nothing on Business Fit guarantees that a business will succeed.
- A poor fit for you isn't necessarily a bad business, and a strong fit isn't a guarantee.
- A creator's claims are assessed only on the information in their video. A rating such as “Not supported” means the claim couldn't be confirmed from what was disclosed. It isn't an accusation that anyone is dishonest.
- The analysis is written with AI and can be wrong, including statements that sound like facts. Check anything important yourself before you rely on it.
- You're responsible for your decisions, including whether to start, buy or invest in a business.
4. Free and test-mode Plus plans
Business Fit is free to use within the monthly allowance shown on the site. We may change the allowance or other limits, or pause new analyses, at any time, for example to control costs or stop abuse.
Any Plus Checkout currently shown is a Stripe sandbox test, clearly marked TEST MODE, and makes no real charge. There is no trial. A successful Checkout return does not itself activate Plus; only our verified server billing record does. Test access may be reset or removed at any time and has no cash value.
No live paid plan is on sale yet. Before live charging, the owner must complete the payment-provider prerequisites and legal review. The planned live terms are cancellation at the end of the paid period, a full refund within 14 days of a first payment or annual renewal when 5 or fewer new analyses were used since it, and no partial annual refund except where law requires. Those terms are not an offer and will be reviewed and shown at Checkout before any real payment.
5. Your content
Your content means the links, pasted text, profile details and answers you give us.
- You must have the right to submit it. Paste only text you're allowed to share, and don't include other people's personal information.
- You keep ownership of your content. You allow us to store, copy and process it, including through our service providers such as our AI provider, to run and improve Business Fit, for as long as we keep it under our privacy policy.
- We may use statistics that don't identify you, such as how often a kind of business is checked.
- To the extent the law allows, you'll cover our losses from claims caused by content you submitted without the right to, or by your breach of these terms.
6. Videos and other people's content
- Submit only public YouTube videos: not private, unlisted or otherwise restricted ones.
- Videos, transcripts, titles, channel names and thumbnails belong to their owners. Business Fit shows its own analysis; it doesn't provide, display or sell transcripts.
- We're not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube, Google or the creators whose videos you check.
- If you think something on Business Fit infringes your rights, or you're a creator with a concern about an analysis of your video, contact us at shawn@parkdale.digital.
7. Acceptable use
Please don't:
- scrape Business Fit, access it with bots or other automated tools, or overload it;
- get around its limits, for example by using several accounts or clearing cookies for more free analyses;
- copy, reverse engineer or try to extract its code or prompts, except where the law allows it;
- submit text written to manipulate the AI or make Business Fit do something it isn't meant to;
- use it for anything unlawful, or in a way that infringes anyone's rights;
- use results to harass or attack creators or anyone else;
- resell Business Fit or its results, or use it as a transcript service.
8. Using your results
Your results are for your own decision-making. Don't present them as professional advice, or as our endorsement of a business or a creator.
9. Availability
Business Fit is in beta. It depends on other services, such as YouTube, our transcript provider and our AI provider, and some videos can't be analyzed. Features may change, pause or stop, with or without notice. Don't rely on Business Fit to keep your only copy of anything.
10. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, Business Fit is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including that it's accurate, complete, fit for a particular purpose or always available. Consumer protection laws where you live, including in Quebec, may not allow some of these exclusions, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these terms takes away rights those laws give you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, savings or business opportunities, including losses from decisions you make using Business Fit. Our total liability for any claim about Business Fit is limited to the greater of [US$100] and what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. These limits don't apply where the law doesn't allow them.
12. Ending your use
You can stop using Business Fit at any time, and ask us to delete your account as our privacy policy explains. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or misuse Business Fit, or if we stop offering it. The sections on your content, disclaimers, liability and governing law continue to apply after that.
13. Privacy and changes to these terms
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version, and we'll give notice on the site before a significant change takes effect. If you keep using Business Fit after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree with them, please stop using it.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [Province or state]. If the consumer protection law where you live gives you the right to rely on its laws or its courts, you keep that right.
